African Safari Adventure: Explore the Serengeti Migration and Encounter the Big Five

Following breakfast, you will be collected and transported to Zanzibar Airport for your flight to the Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a thrilling game drive in the wild, tracing the paths of the Great Migration. Serengeti National Park is renowned as Tanzania’s oldest and most beloved national park. Recently named the 7th Wonder of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Serengeti is renowned for its annual migration, where around six million hooves traverse the open plains. The park offers an extraordinary wildlife-viewing experience, providing you with an intimate encounter with the creatures you’ve previously only seen in National Geographic: massive herds of buffaloes, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and countless elands, topis, kongonis, impalas, and Grant’s gazelles.

Following your breakfast at the camp, we will commence our journey to Central Serengeti for an extensive day of game driving, observing the revered Big Five of Africa. Upon the latter part of the afternoon, we shall return to the lodge for a dinner arrangement and an overnight sojourn. The park is renowned for sustaining a robust population of resident wildlife, notably the Big Five, denoting the five most coveted trophies. Notably, the Serengeti ecosystem is reputed to host the largest lion population in Africa, with an excess of 3,000 individuals. Moreover, the enigmatic African leopards are frequently sighted in the Seronera region, comprising a populace of approximately 1,000.

After enjoying your breakfast at the camp, we will take a drive to Central Serengeti for a full-day game drive, providing excellent opportunities to observe Africa’s Big Five. Upon returning to the lodge in the late afternoon, dinner will be served, and you will spend the night there. This park is well-known for its thriving population of resident wildlife, particularly the Big Five, which are the most sought-after trophies. The Serengeti is reputed to have the largest population of lions in Africa, with over 3,000 within this ecosystem. African leopards, which are typically hard to spot, are frequently seen in the Seronera region, with a population of around 1,000.

Our adventure continues after breakfast at the camp as we head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an exhilarating full-day crater tour game drive with a delightful picnic lunch. Our journey will culminate with a drive to the lodge in the evening for a scrumptious dinner and a restful overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is renowned for its awe-inspiring deep, volcanic crater, which happens to be the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. Spanning approximately 20 kilometers across, plunging 600 meters deep, and encompassing a vast 300 square kilometers, the Ngorongoro Crater is indeed a breathtaking natural wonder. During our exploration, we’ll visit the stunning Lake Magadi, a sizable but shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern corner. This area is known for its rich population of flamingos and other waterbirds, as well as the presence of hippos adding to the allure of this remarkable location.

After enjoying breakfast, we’ll set off for an exhilarating game drive in Tarangire National Park.

The park’s unique feature is the Tarangire River, which provides a year-round water source for diverse wildlife. Watch for the large herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and the fascinating sight of tree-climbing African pythons. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot a range of predators and herbivores, including lions, leopards, gazelles, zebras, and giraffes, along with various bird and plant species.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar.
