Calving Season:

The Migration Calving Season in the Serengeti is a spectacular natural phenomenon that usually takes place from End of December to March in Southern Serengeti, known as Ndutu. During this period, herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores gather to give birth to their young amidst the fertile plains of Southern Serengeti, and then spread out to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Why do they choose to calve in Ndutu? The grasses there are rich in nutritional content, thanks to volcanic eruptions that happened years ago and blew nutrient-rich soil onto the plains. This results in green, fertile pastures for the animals to feed on. The landscape comes alive with the sight of newborn wildebeest calves taking their first tentative
steps, while predators like lions hunt nearby. The Migration Calving Season reflects the life cycle in the wild. Calving Season Packages
